Former Shirley Sherrod Employee Accuses Her of Exploiting Black Farm Laborers
Washington Examiner ^ | August 3, 2010 | Tom Blumer

Posted on 08/04/2010 7:15:48 AM PDT by marstegreg

It now seems that Mr. and Mrs. Sherrod inflicted quite a bit of pain and suffering on their own -- and on some of the very people Mr. Sherrod described as "our own" in a speech earlier this year -- at New Communities, Inc. (NCI). The group is described at the Rural Development Leadership Network's web site as "the land trust that Shirley and Charles Sherrod established, with other black farm families in the 1960s."

Another reason is Obama was getting dragged in as being a racist who hates whites - which is true. This whole Rangel and Waters thing is coming to a head because he is losing white voters.

well the writer is pretty credible.

all the articles about the lawsuit keep saying she and her husband received 150K each but tis is on top of the 13 million the community land group got, of which she was part’ so how much did she really get?

and since she got a Uncle Sugar payday once why not do it again?

I am not familiar with this writer, but some of the things he writes make Shirley Sherrod the biggest hypocrate in the country. When I read the whole article all I could think was wow, just wow...

The question that I keep hearing is “Are there any people of the black race, surrounding this President, that aren’t crooks?” This President has done more to harm the black race of this country, his own people, than any President in our history.

Wilkins, who says he is "a former organizer in the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee"

Charles Sherrod was a founding member of the SNCC along with John Lewis, Julian Bond, and Marion Barry.

The Examiner writer is, from the few articles I have read, pretty diligent with facts before he cites anyone.

The Ron Wilkins named in this story IS really credible since he worked for New Communities

I agree with you that Obama has harmed race relations.

However, you said he had hurt “his own people.”

Nope. Michelle’s, maybe, but not his.

Unless he’s lying about his parentage, Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro has no shared blood or heritage with the black people of America.

He’s half African/Arab, and the descendant of white American slaveholders.

That’s the plain truth. I, with my sunburn-prone lily white skin, have more in common with Southern blacks than Barry0 does.

Ouch!

Indeed, I think she has set herself up for a world of hurt.

What the Sherrods and others like them want you to think is that if you’re born black, you’re (a) a victim of white greed and/or cruelty, and (b) automatically eligible for sainthood. Crooks abound in every race. In fact, history tells us that some of the most prolific slavers were, in fact, Africans, who sold neighbors into slavery for money, power or revenge. But no one talks about that.

What makes you confident that Sherrod, Rangel and Waters won’t all go scott-free when all the dust settles?

You are probably right, but they are just a few of the fish in a very filthy pond. Once the new congress is sworn in the big fat fish ( A.K.A Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Dodd, Obama,Holder ,etc...) will still be there. This congress may throw some back but the next congress won’t.
