I found it far more interesting that Couric uses a fake voice on screen and when she's talking off camera she has a pretty ugly nasal voice.

My guess the long knives are out internally and C-"BS" and they are looking for three reasons to fire her or ask her to step down. Got to keep HR happy and prevent the lawsuits don't ya know.
IMHO someone wants her gone from CBS, it could be $, her personality, ratings or a combo of these or other factors.
I forget what her name was but a brief history. She and her husband were assigned to work in the Palin camp. They met in Florida durring the 2000 election while working for the Gore campaign. The woman talked Governor Palin into doing the interview with Couric by telling her that Couric admired her and really liked her and that Courics ratings were falling and she really needed the boost. She promised her that it would only be a 30 minute interview and see how that went. SP felt sorry for KC and agreed to 30 minutes. Well this woman actually scheduled 8 hours and SP was hooked to do the interview. In her book Governor Palin said she thought something was odd when she saw KC and this woman hugging each other.
IMHO, there’s no insult to Palin here...I don’t see what’s the big deal..

Yes. Thats her. But in all fairness to McCain, from what SP said in her book, someone was put in charge of her campaign. McCain had the A team and there was a B team assigned to the VP candidate. They were separate. Thats why she didn’t go to McCain when she expierenced so much trouble. And I think she was niave. She didn’t really understand the filth and backstabbing of Washington politics. I think our Lady Sarah is wiser now and ready for them.
Can you imagine Katie Couric saying that about Obama? I can’t.
