The race in MI01 has Benishek winning by 102 votes. If Allen wants he can ask for a recount, but they rarely get more than a dozen + or - We will see. Allen got Alcona, Alger, Antrim, Arenac, Bay, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Chippewa, Crawford, Emmet, Gladwin,Mackinaw, Montmorency,Ogemaw, Oscoda, Otsego, Presque Isle.

Benishek got Alpena, Baraga, Delta, Dickinson, Gogebic, Houghton, Iosco, Iron, Keweenaw, Luce, Marquette, Ontonagon, Schoolcraft, and Stupaks home county, Menominee.

Map of Michigan Counties

It's basically the UP and Alpena and Iosco, for Benishek.

Allen got the LP and Alger minus a very important Alpena.

Let's hope this stands.

I’ve been rooting for Benishek and have donated to his campaign so I’m glad he won. I’m real tired of the political career politician. I don’t want people slick enough to rule me. I want people who are real enough to respect the citizens they represent by defending the Constitution and the liberties it contains.

Two good conservative wins in the house races take some of the sting out of the Snyder win in the Governor’s race.

The Associated Press is reporting Benishek won the race by 102 votes but the Michigan Secretary of State is saying Benishek won by one vote, 27,091 to 27,090. Recount coming.

Is this an automatic recount or is Allen demanding it?

I don't know, but they both claimed victory.
