Escoffery sounds exactly like the type of cat who, after he inevitably loses the primary, will affirm that his "sacred principles" require, nay DEMAND, that he run as a third party independent candidate, thus helping to strip away more votes that Rubio will need to beat Charles the Orange.

Your assumptions are without merit my friend.

We are in the PRIMARY, Dr. Escoffery has no intention of leaving the Republican Party even IF he is defeated in the PRIMARY. In fact I would personally encourage him to run again in 2012 if he is not successful in defeating Marco Rubio on 24 August 2010. Your comment is a poor attempt to "scare" folks into voting for Marco Rubio instead of Dr. Escoffery in the primary. I encourage the Republicans in Florida to compare Dr. Escoffery and Marco Rubio side by side and chose the MOST CONSERVATIVE candidate to face off with Charlie Crist. I believe that Dr. Escoffery is exactly the type of "non-politician" candidate that the people of Florida have been craving. Marco Rubio is very young and should use the next 2 years to get some more experience in LIFE, then come back in 2012 to take on Bill Nelson.

P.S. IMHO Marco Rubio will lose to Charlie Crist in November if he defeats Dr. Escoffery on 24 August 2010.

That's fine. No one's calling for him to leave. Just hard to understand why someone, in this political environment where every seat is important, wants to throw a snit over a pet issue.

Again I have no problem with that. BTW, why doesn't he run for Congress first? The Senate is a huge leap for him.

P.S. IMHO Marco Rubio will lose to Charlie Crist in November if he defeats Dr. Escoffery on 24 August 2010.

Get real. All Rubio has to do is run another ad showing "The Hug" and Crist is toast.
