Putting in a non-politician who no one knows will have the same effect as Alvin Green in SC. If the Dr had began running sooner (weve known there would be a primary with no incumbent since Martinez dropped out) it might be different, but he has not done anything until now. Waited to long, and its over for this race. Why doesnt he try the next time?
Why would you give credibility to someone who is not a threat. It is the same thing as Debra Medina. The only way she would gain traction is if Perry or Hutch ran against her.
I dont remember Kerry running against Carol Mosley-Braun or McCain running against Hunter. It is because the two that didnt win had no chance and it would serve a front runner no good to attack that person.
fair enough, having said that the information is out there for folks to make an informed decision.. All Dr. Escoffery is doing is offering to go to Washington and serve in the U.S. Senate for the State of Florida. If the people of Florida will send him.... Furthermore, all I am saying is that given the choice between Marco Rubio and Dr. Escoffery on 24 August, I choose Dr. Escoffery.... and then in November if I am given the choice between Dr. Escoffery and Charlie Crist I will again choose Dr. Escoffery.. I trust my fellow Floridians agree with me.... It is foolish for a REAL conservative to NOT vote for Dr. Escoffery on August 24th IMHO.
If you are serious on cleaning it up, you should have him remove every reference to himself as I. Wikipedia pages about politicians should be written in the 3rd person, as if a bio, not a resume.
This is not an attack, but a suggestion that if he wants to get into politics in the future, he should not say “I” in a wiki page.
How can you say that it is over.. when the PRIMARY is 3 weeks away ! Most non-political activists like you and I are just NOW starting to look at the candidates and many are still undecided... just because there are folks like you and I who stay engaged in politics year round we are not like the “average joe” who waits until a week before the election to decide who to vote for.. NOW IS THAT TIME... this election is far from over... IMHO

Im saying it is over because he has waited too long to make a splash in this election. Is he polling above 10%? Does he have more than a month to campaign? Is his website even ready yet?
And it is true that non-activists may now be starting to look, but we do not fall in that category. We have both been looking because we are politically involved, and the people who will vote in a primary are definitely politically involved.
If he makes a good start and can run for congress or senator in 12, thats great. But it is too late for 10. He waited too long. When was the last time an election broke for someone with no polling or recognition? There is no historical data for your example.
Also, how can you say in the same paragraph that we are both not political activists, then say we stay engaged year round? And why no punctuation, did you just copy and paste talking points?
If you created the page, why did you put I? Are you Dr Escoffery? And why would I clean it up, he is your guy?
I just gave you help for a campaign that I am not rooting for, and you still want someone else to do the work?

There are no more debates.
There is nothing else going on. Rubio was written off over a year ago. He worked on meeting and going out and asking for votes.

I just copied the data from his bio on his website.. based on your recomendation I edited the text to 3rd person. Thanks for the tip. No I am not Escoffery, I just heard about him a few days ago and decided he is the person I will be voting for on August 24th. I hope my fellow Floridians agree with, or at least a majority of the Republican Primary voters agree with me :) ...if not Marco Rubio will likely win the primary just to be defeated in November by Charlie Crist I am afraid...
I am sure Dr. Escoffery is willing to debate Marco Rubio, however it is clear that Marco Rubio will have none of that “competition” stuff... after all winning the primary and losing the general election is far more important to Mr. Rubio than having a real debate with a strong conservative competitor ... it’s all about winning isn’t it? /sarcasm

I meant to say UNLIKE you and I.. and obviously I have no talking points.. I speak(type) my mind.. on the fly for the most part.. I discovered Dr. Escoffery when a close friend found his website, sent me a note, and asked me to take a look at it.. not having the time to look at it at the time I filed it away for later.. well this past weekend I started to look at Dr. Escoffery’s website (which was very difficult to read because of the poor formating - not the content) the more I got to know about Dr. Escoffery the more I liked what I saw.. I decided to call him and offer him some advice, mainly about cleaning up the formatting on his webpage. I concluded that Dr. Escoffery is exactly who we need in 2010, and that I just needed to help him get his message out to the voters, I don’t think the people need to be “sold” on his values - his life story is a trophy of a lifetime of LIVING the American dream and conservative values... I was sold on the FACTS not the “campaign”... now he has 20 days to get his message to as many Republican Primary voters as possible... the Rubio campaign and the FL-GOP has dismissed him which only illistrates how far out of touch with reality that our party has become...
Plaaeese! Next will be that Rubio kicked his dog.
Your over-enthusiasm is misplaced. If your guy is the greatest thing since sliced bread he can start now to build for 2012 against the dem, but not by smearing Rubio.
RIght To Life endorses people who can best help their cause. That means they endorse people who can actually win elections, not the most pro-life person on the ballot.
I am not bashing Rubio I am just comparing two candidates and IMHO Dr. Escoffery is the better choice on 24 August 2010. If you agree with me then vote for him if you dont agree vote for Rubio... simple choice... just want to let folks know that there IS a choice.. many folks I have talked to ASSUME that Rubio is the ONLY choice... which is incorrect. I am voting for Dr. Escoffery on 24 August 2010 and I think you should do.
