As political parties roll up their sleeves for the next election, some supporters are already playing dirty. A Shoreline man says vandals have targeted his home twice in the last two weeks.
Election season is upon us, and Ken Potts isn't the type of person to keep his opinions to himself.
"I spent 21 years in the military, three in combat to defend our rights to have private property and to express ourselves," said the Viet Nam vet.
Potts uses his yard on the very high traffic corner of 185th and Meridian to support the candidates he believes in. Many of them are Republican. Then political vandals struck.
"They stole all the signs we had up about two weeks ago. The next morning we found them scattered throughout the neighborhood, so we collected them back up," he said.
His wife even wired the signs to the fence to keep it from happening again.
Then last weekend, he came home to find a sign with a very different message on the utility pole in front of his home.
"It was tacked up there and it said 'Republicans are a disease,'" said Potts.

In King County, it's risky to show any political sympathies other than Hard Left on your car or house.
Boobytrap the signs then.
Publius, you must have accidentally toggled ‘Breaking News’ on this little story you posted, because no member since 1997 would make such a dreadful rookie mistake.
Shoot at will.
Set up up a cam out your window (with night vision) to capture these communist useful idiots
Whoops! Bifocals are a curse to the elderly.
In King County, it’s risky to show any political sympathies other than Hard Left on your car or house....
That’s the truth...unless you want your car keyed
“Boobytrap the signs then”.
...exactly! Cover them with poison oak. Wire them to a bunch of car batteries. Get a watch dog. Dig a trench around them and lay leaves over the trench. An alarm system...
They need to sell magnetic bumper "stickers". Then you could easily remove it whenever you left your car and avoid the keyings of the mad libs.
Yet another reason I’m moving to Kentucky...
I gave Seattle my entire adult life. Every candidate I voted for locally lost. The only time I made a difference was when I met Hillary downtown during her health care gauntlet. I leave Seattle to reap what it has sewn.
This is more DNC Brownshirt election violence. No different from the black supremacists outside the polling center intimidating voters.
It’s against FEC law but rarely enforced. This crap has been status quo operation of the Rats since the 2004 election where all of these attacks were considered “local news only”. It was a a national trend with thousands of homes vandalized, offices vandalized, cars vandalized, and some cases of arson.
Spray painting a swastika on someone’s sidewalk and home is a hate crime except when it is a Rat attacking a Bush-Cheney supporter.
I loathe the Pravda Media.
That’s a good idea unless they follow you....some of those whack left retards do that.....
“Boobytrap the signs then.”
With lawn sprinklers! Yay!
When a lefty does damage to personal property, it is because:
1) They are fighting back against an act of right wing hate speech
2) They are passionate about their beliefs
3) They’re just kids!!
4) They’ve been economically exploitative and are lashing out at the system
5) If Black, it’s because of 200 years of racial discrimination.
6) If they steal, it’s because there are no jobs.
These are actual answers from lefties here in Austin.
Of course, these excuses do not apply to anyone who dares to conduct property damage to a lefty.
It will come down to war.
There are still Obama bumper stickers everywhere. The fervor for The One has not died down.
Please ping the chapter.
Well thanks be to God...you noticed that.
Hey, I’m getting old. The eyes are the first thing to go — although my last girlfriend said otherwise.
