This very sad and unfortunate situation in which sadly people are now dead will be a political opportunity for the anti-gun democratic movement no matter what the facts end up being to this awful tragedy.
Sorry to hear of this happening in your area. We are traveling to CT in a few weeks, staying in Manchester. We had an infamous mall shooting that killed 9 and wounded 4 here a couple years ago. The mall is directly across the street from my office. It was a very traumatic time for our community. Prayers for you and everyone touched by this tragedy.
This is not too far from where I live.
This is a well-kept building in a small modern warehouse district that is surrounded by a clean suburban neighborhood.
A low crime area.
A little bit of a shocker that it could occur there. Prayers out to all affected.

Seriously. You have no monopoly on this. I lived in Jackson, MS when Larry Shoemake went nuts. I was actually driving near the Ellis Avenue Po Folks restaurant as it went up in flames AFTER he started shooting. Saw the first responders close Ellis Avenue and Raymond Road.
I was liveng there when the Luke Woodham thing happened at Pearl HS, as well.
Everyone deals with stressful situations a little bit differently. True grief even more so. If you don’t realize that, in my opinion you have a lot to learn about people.
So if I crack a little joke to lighten an OBVIOUSLY somber event, forgive me if you found it to be in poor taste.
I have to wonder, though, how many of you who are so outraged at my (apparently feeble) attempt at levity have ever used the euphemism “going postal?” Ya reckon that might offend somebody whose loved one was killed or wounded in an attack at a post office?
If you can’t fit my honorable (if poorly delivered) intent inside your head, especially now that I have explained myself, that’s YOUR problem.
