The irony is that the Irgun called and warned of the imminent bombing, but the British -with their usual contempt for Jews- refused to heed the warnings and ignored them.
You have no evidence that the British ignored any warning of the King David attack because of their "usual contempt for Jews" - that's just you showing your usual contempt for the British.
The British say they never received a warning. It’s quite possible. Did the Irgun really expect that in half an hour a message relayed second hand through the Palestine Post and the French consulate (that is, assuming the Irgun were telling the truth, and I know I would rather trust the British), that would have been enough time to evacuate the building?
