Yah, I’ve got no quarrel with the 06. In my area it’s mainly blacktail and the occassional whitetail. 270 is maybe a little light for mule deer and elk, though it’s theoretically doable.

The nice thing about the .270 has always been it’s flat trajectory. Sight it in an inch high at 100, it’ll be on at 200 and about 2in low at 300. So... generally you can just go with the crosshairs and be done with it.
