Rove is such a Wuss!
8/2/2010 | vanity

He's on with Hemmer/Martha and he thinks Palin was out of line using 'cojones' to describe what's needed and what the AZ gov has and Obama doesn't!

Rove stinks. And his amnesty push does too.

Rove’s pathetic policy of not having Bush fight back the tide of Dem attacks was always bad enough, but when he went and gave a speech before La Raza promoting amnesty, that was it for me. I have nothing but utter contempt for him.

“Conferring rights and privileges upon illegal aliens has a corrosive effect on the Rule of Law, the very foundation of our Republic”

The difference is between “conferring” (giving) rights and privileges, and coming up with a program in which people who are here can enroll and EARN the rights and privileges of staying here.

And that program MUST make people who want to come here, to be stopped at the embassies, consulates or border unless and until they agree to enrollment and obligations on their part, and consequences (deportation) if they do not.

This is what ANY future POTUS is going to do- Sarah Palin the most conservative perosn with a shot at winning- as much as already announced this.

SARAH IS NOT GOING TO DEPORT ILLEGALS. NO ONE IS. NO COURT WILL ORDER IT. NO LAW WILL BE ENFORCED.
NO ONE is going to ship or send ten million people “home”. NO ONE. No republican, no democrat. No conservative. Certainly no liberal. That leaves you and your gun to “enforce the law”. Go for it sparky.

But “someone” might take control of their existence and integration into our society by a program of registering them, defining their end status (citizen or guest worker) and enforcing expectations of standards they must meet to earn that status, and limitations on what “rights” they have to social support by State local and federal social systems during the process.

Even if after the fact.

So we conservatives might as well figure out how to build the program and make it a good program for America. Or we will get open borders, lawless default and liberal ineptitude.

Rove is just a moderate Beltway Republican. They are socially liberal and lukewarm conservative.

They roll with the opportunist issues of the day. (Scott Brown) And they have no moral absolutes, which is why they repeatedly side with the Democrat/Socialist/Marxists.

I understand. I think defending the conservative cause necessitates being tough and intelligent. I can honestly say that I disagree with most pundits/politicians on at least a few things.

I disagree with Rove on a few things. I disagree with Gingrich on a few things, with Rush...etc....etc.
However, I will not completely reject them either. They all have some excellent things to contribute.

I very much like Sarah Palin, but I am not convinced that she should run for president. I think the present role she is taking is far too effective!

;-)

Truth be told, it is not a word that is used in polite company by Spanish speakers. Its first use by English speakers was uttered by Madeleine Albright, not Sara Palin, but at the time, nobody knew what it meant. English-speaking politicians would not use its English equivalent when discussing other politicians. I think this is a reflection of the general vulgarization of our public discourse.

How many Vietnamese/Cambodian slums and welfare clients do you have in your area? We have none.

Lots of blacks and hispanics, though. and growing number of muslim arabs and africans.

What they’re doing to our country is vulgar.

Killing people is vulgar too but our forefathers had to do it to get the freedoms we have.

If that statement bothers you, then what are you gonna do when they go all out commie on us.... I mean really....

I see you have given up and given in to the progressives.

The day these people get amnesty or registration and the right to vote, the only thing that will change is that you will see the whole country move farther left because neither political party will be able to win without promotion of freebies.

Bad enough already, but it will just get worse.

You also forgot to add, that they will elect their own kind, and instead of them having to learn and speak English, it will be us who has to learn and speak Spanish.

“You and Scott Brown think a lot alike. You must live in the Eastern Socialist sprawl.”

Knee-jerk reaction?

Brown and I don’t think much alike at all. I live in the great state of Tennessee and am a die-hard conservative both economically and socially.

Why does Rove think she was out of line?

I like Palin and I like that she’s not afraid to criticize Obama as so many others seem to be.

Nearly half of the children born to Hispanic mothers in the U.S. are born out of wedlock, a proportion that has been increasing rapidly with no signs of slowing down. Given what psychologists and sociologists now know about the much higher likelihood of social pathology among those who grow up in single-mother households, the Hispanic baby boom is certain to produce more juvenile delinquents, more school failure, more welfare use, and more teen pregnancy in the future."

Future democrats... lots of 'em.

Not according to your “Big tent” explanation for accepting a moderate position. You only think you are more Conservative.

(Just an observation.)

Calling names will help us win the WAR FOR OUR VERY LIVES AND POSSESSIONS! Right??? So, let's call names!!
Here's the truth: Name-calling = nothing to say. A six year-old can call names. Middle-schoolers are professional at insulting and calling names. Wow. And now you tell me it's a tool in the war for "our very lives and possessions"? Stunning.

Are you calling a vanity in which the author says "He's on with Hemmer/Martha and he thinks Palin was out of line using 'cojones' to describe what's needed and what the AZ gov has and Obama doesn't! Rove stinks. And his amnesty push does too." valid political discussion?

And what about the so-called "snark"? Do you deny either part of it? People are either 1) able to state their position and support it in clear terms, or 2) unable to state their positions and call names and give insult instead.

The difference is between “conferring” (giving) rights and privileges, and coming up with a program in which people who are here can enroll and EARN the rights and privileges of staying here.

That is patently unfair to the people who entered this country legally and the millions of others who are waiting their turn to enter overseas, some for many years. The way you EARN your rights and privileges is to do it legally by applying for immigration to the US in your home country not breaking and entering, committing ID theft, evading taxes, working illegally, etc. By allowing them to stay and work here is to in fact put the lawbreakers at the head of the line. It just encourages more lawbreaking.

And that program MUST make people who want to come here, to be stopped at the embassies, consulates or border unless and until they agree to enrollment and obligations on their part, and consequences (deportation) if they do not.

Stopped at the embassies or consulates or border? Do you understand how the legal immigration process works?

SARAH IS NOT GOING TO DEPORT ILLEGALS. NO ONE IS. NO COURT WILL ORDER IT. NO LAW WILL BE ENFORCED. NO ONE is going to ship or send ten million people “home”. NO ONE. No republican, no democrat. No conservative. Certainly no liberal. That leaves you and your gun to “enforce the law”. Go for it sparky.

LOL. You must have a reading comprehension problem. We are deporting illegals now. The Obama administration claimed that it deported 400,000 last year. There are 600,000 absconders roaming this country who have gone thru all of the judicial hearings and ordered deported. Again, you are creating the false choice between a blanket amnesty or mass deportation. We don't have to do either. Here is what we should do:

We need a pro-immigrant, low immigration policy that contains the following elements:

 A merit based immigration system that brings in the skills and talents to keep us competitive in the global economy;

 Reduced immigration levels based on need and more closely approximating 500,000 immigrants a year recommended by the Jordan Commission;

 Elimination of extended chain migration, i.e., family reunification, limiting it to the nuclear family;

 Enforcement of existing immigration laws to reduce the current illegal alien population and limit future illegal immigration, i.e., attrition thru enforcement. Enforcement would include: (1) ending the job magnet; (2) increasing coordination at the federal level by eliminating barriers to information sharing among agencies; (3) leveraging state and local enforcement resources; (4) securing the border and fully implementing the US-VISIT Program to track and deport visa overstays; and (5) make mandatory and improve such programs as E-Verify and 287 [g] authority to assist employers and law enforcement in identifying illegal aliens;

 Elimination of birthright citizenship;

 Ensure that anyone who enters this nation illegally is not rewarded by being permitted to stay and work here; i.e., no amnesty;

 Streamline the processing and adjudication of immigration cases; and

 Promote pro-immigrant measures that help newcomers assimilate and embrace the values and principles of our Founders and the Constitution.

Sorry, but Rove’s actions define him as a RINO - big govt spending, amnesty, LaRaza, etc = RINO.

His written words are meaningless when his actions differ from his words.

Oh, yeah. I run into that a lot here in Texas while helping my daughter find a job. It irks me.

We just had two women (not on the same day) come to our door to ask if they could pick some of our pears. Neither spoke English but we finally figured out what they wanted.

We said take all you want. I don’t like pears.
