"The Jews are a nervous people. Nineteen centuries of Christian love have taken a toll." Benjamin Disraeli
Lol!
Things could change. There are hundreds of thousands of Christians that survived both wars that could become a part of the IDF. Providing they pass the schools. They can’t be described as mercenaries. It’s a preservation of the Torah, the Bible, and both’s predictions.
I know!
Once the Hebrews, and all the OTHER peoples who were released with them, were released from bondage, they could never grasp the significance of freedom...ever.
All the years they wandered in the desert, from the first moment to the last, no matter what, no matter how, someone, something, always saved them. Whether it was from Pharoah’s army, thirst, starvation, Amalek, they had a powerful G-d on their side. But they always needed a strong leader and their strength was in staying together as a people...with their G-d.
When their leaders were corrupted, the whole culture was corrupted. It always happened from within. They were their own worst enemies and did not ever learn the lessons they should have...and NO ONE ever will as long as we look to men for answers that can only come from within; from the gift we were offered and accepted with words, but not hearts, and not deeds.
Israel imploded with civil war and became a divided nation, Judah and Israel. Neither could stand alone.
Israel became a conquered nation. Then Rome conquered Kingdom of Judah, sacked and looted Jerusalem. The Holy of Holies was gone. G-d was no longer with them. They were Hellenized beyond the point of no return.
Hebrews were irrevokably separated and forced out into a world that never, ever accepted them. Their survival depended on each other and their wits. They had to assimilate or stay completely out of society. There was no other way for them to live. Large portions of them disappeared completely.
I could list for you all the progroms that were undertaken against the Jews every where they went for centuries. No people on earth have ever been subjected to what the Jews have been subjected to throughout history, not even black people. Black people not only had countries of origin, they had a continent that was always “home,” if need be.
The shock and horror of the Holocaust was ALREADY a part of the Hebrew psyche. We EXPECT it. It wakes us up in the middle of the night. We are constantly on guard for the sword that sweeps us into oblivion. Don’t you understand?
How often do we need to be told that the entire world hates us when we already know it? How many more times are we going to be accused of murdering a Messiah which we never did? How would YOU contend with the irrational hatred directed at us every single day for over two thousand years? You act as if this is a new thing.
It isn’t. And they are “liberal” because they fear this happening yet again so they will grovel.
Misguided guilt and an out of whack sense of “justice” bodes us no good. We have never fought back. Since the fall of Judah to the Romans, Jews have placed their trust almost SOLEY in men and need to please those they see as having power over their lives.
Those of us who have not, fight. Those who have, live in constant fear because men are fickle and powerful men are ruthless. If you do not understand that, there is nothing more I can say.
The Jews who came to this country when it was being born, were reborn right along with it. Freedom was not just a concept anymore. They came here of their OWN free will. They were not forced to be here. Freedom was real and within our grasp. We reached out like thirsty sponges and gave our all for it.
Then came WWII and the European Jews who had NEVER had that experience.
Those who tried to come here DURING the war, found no friend who would help them. If the British and the US would not stop the slaughter, (and they could have,) where could they turn for help? Who could they cry to for mercy?
Those who came after the war was over feared being cast adrift yet again. They found that once arriving here after the war, they were segregated into ghettos. They were accused then, and still are, of the same things they were not guilty of thousands of years ago.
And so, fearing the rejection which had always been their experience, they BECAME what that which they feared the most...just as the kapos did in the camps when faced with the loss of their own lives. That is how close the edge of the cliff ALWAYS is if you are a Jew anywhere in the world.
And their experience throughout the centuries, having been rejected so often by so many, is why they think they MUST NOT allow others to be rejected. Even those who hate them.
Hebrews are awaiting the return of that Most High and Most Powerful G-d that they rejected by deed so very long ago. The truth eludes them. They did not learn their lesson then.
And they have not learned it still.
