We've said that quite a bit about Peres over the last decade or so. In this case, there is some truth to what he says, but it strikes me that it was too coarse of a statement for an Israeli who still has a title, if nothing else.
I'd like to ask Peres this: If Britain is so anti-semitic, why aren't Jews leaving in droves?
As far as I know, most of the antisemitic incidents in Britain today are perpetrated by Muslims, and the political pandering to them makes the situation worse.
So . . . by “English” he actually meant “British?” He’s not saying the English are more anti-Semitic than the Irish, Welsh, and Scots, right?
I am certain that anti Semitic acts by Muslims in the streets is not what triggered Peres.
It was very likely being reminded again of British duplicity.
A brand new British CONSERVATIVE PM wasting no time rushing to kiss Muslim ass in Turkey while mouthing the most outrageous anti Israeli Arab lies and propaganda.
A good number of British Jews are. I know many personally who’ve come to the U.S. And a couple of years ago, I met a gay British Jew in an internet cafe in Tel Aviv. He had recently made aliyah. He said he felt 10x safer as a gay, secular Jew in Tel Aviv than he did in Londonstan.
