I don't think it was hype so much as just crappy reporting. I bet every oil spill from now on will be seen as a "disaster".

I wonder if they will attack the old cities' infrastructures the way they attack oil spills? Soon cities are gonna start falling apart from age and there ain't darn thing we can do about it.

Unfortunately this is going to lead to one more pipeline shut down for good.

The wolverine pipeline was undergoing extensive upgrades (Spending lots of money) when that was shut down in 03.
