My brother had a 71 Vega. Had to safety wire all the engine bolts to keep them from rattling loose.

I think the Vega's problems were about 50% bad engineering and 50% sabotage. Sad too as it could have been a neat little car. Ah well.....so much scrap metal under the crusher.
