WASHINGTON (AP) - A House investigative panel has decided to charge Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters of California with ethics violations, raising the possibility of a second high-profile political trial this fall. People familiar with the investigation, who were not authorized to be quoted about unannounced charges, say the allegations could be announced next week. The House ethics committee declined Friday to make any public statement on the matter.
Waters has been under investigation for a possible conflict of interest involving a bank that was seeking federal aid. Her husband owned stock in the bank.

Yeah sure, when He!! freezes over.

Dunno if anyone here is a gambler... we need a “Democrat Political Death Pool”. They’re really dropping like flies lately.
Maybe.
But the people who matter (her voters) will re-elect her anyway. :(:(:(
And Rangel and Waters will get wrist slaps. :(:(:(
The charges .. 3 of them.

Persons familiar with the case said Waters is accused of violating:
a rule that House members may not exert improper influence that results in a personal benefit;
also, the government employees ethics code, which prohibits granting or accepting special favors for the employee or family members that could be viewed as influencing official actions;
and a rule that member conduct must reflect creditably on the House.
If there was a rule against being butt ugly, there would be a fourth charge. :)
I don’t think so. ;o)
It may, in the end, be that they aren’t punished as they should be, but I think there will be trials, and they will be before the mid-term elections.
If not...then mea culpa.
