I can’t believe Rep. King signed on to this bill.

It is over 7 BILLION dollars for just 25,000 people!

This was just another PORK bill for New York. They called it revenue neutral but it did so by raising taxes on some entities and then accounting gimmicks to move tax collections up earlier.

Do some people need help? Sure. But how are you going to prove that JOE SCHMO who was a construction worker in the area after 9/11 has lung problems from the dust of 9/11 and not smoking?????

Not arguing with that. I’m asking if that is a politcal winner? It might be. Shows we can’t be fooled about budgetary gimmicks and are really serious about the fiscal situation of the republic. Lately the GOP has been doing ok but believe all the adds about spending are going to be rebutted by bringing up the previous years off GOP spending and then showing the unemployed single disable mother saying “they took my check”.

Low information voters are still voters.

Most of this money will go to the slush funds.
