Most of this money will go to the slush funds.

Is he Jewish and is she Muslim?
That should make for an interesting political marriage?
Who would benefit?

Davy Crockett was right: Constitutionally, Federal taxes should not be used for individuals.

No offense but its NOT the Feds job to compensate these people.
They (the 911 personnel) can appeal to their employers. They appeal to the city and the state. They can set up a charitable foundation. But the Feds have no business making any awards to these people.

None taken. I’m not saying we should, in face we shouldn’t hence the Crockett speech, I am saying we should be aware that our crafty opponents will use this on us and we should ready with a counter message that will resonate with low information voters (aka idiots) so that we can gain more seats.

That’s what I read. I just wondered why it was a fake marriage.

A report on FNC said Dems were afraid that Republicans would propose an amendment denying benefits to illegal immigrants

That’s a letter to the editor, right there.

“The vast majority of people in this country cannot be bothered to understand reason and logic, especially when it comes to fiscal matters, they go on emotion.”
Exactly, and that’s why the Stupid Party should have been orating like Weenie all day every day for the last 70 years. That’s how a man acts when he is passionate and outraged.
True, Weenie is passionate and outraged about the wrong stuff, but it would work just as well if the Republicans did it to get air time for the truth.
It is long past time for decent people to wake up and realize that when dealing with scumbags, civility is nothing but a self-imposed handicap.
