About four hours after a Dallas police officer was nearly caught by a colleague in the act of sexually assaulting a woman while on duty, he raped another woman about three miles away, according to an affidavit for arrest warrant.

Jeffrey Damon Thorn, 26, who was fired on the day he was arrested on an aggravated sexual assault charge in the first case, was rearrested this week on a sexual assault charge in the other case. Thorn’s attorney, Mark A. Troy, said his client maintains his innocence.

Just another rare, isolated instance of the 99% giving the 1% a bad name.

Good thing his middle name was Damon, and not Wayne.

Okay, I need a bit of clarifying here. The first woman mentioned claims this cop forced her to "perform a sex act" -- I am assuming this is a polite way of getting around the Billy Jeff euphemism. The second allegation is that another woman "asked Thorn to check and see if she was wanted on any warrants, but she asked him not to arrest her if she was" -- do women really ASK an officer to CHECK? Then supposedly he told her if she had sex with him, he wouldn't arrest her and so she did.

From the way the title and the first paragraph reads, I thought I was going to find something entirely different that I did. I'm not saying he was proper or correct, if indeed he did do these things, but it just comes across as inflammatory language to me.

Cops are about 3 times as likely as the general population to commit sex crimes. Don’t know why, but probably something to do with the power trip thing...which is why a disproportionate number of politicians are also the Bill Clinton and Mark Foley types.
