I have not heard that one, however it does not sound keeping in character w/ GWB. I think he would have stopped to check on the agent. I have heard that one agent broke a bone during a crash. There was another ride where GWB crashed and got a few abrasions. Some agents asked if he would like a 4WD sent in to give him a ride out. W just got up, dusted himself off, and kept going at the same hammer pace.
Right about the same time, John F Kerry was riding a road bike on a bike path for a photo op, crashed (must have been riding like a real “Phred”), and blamed it on the Secret Service agent.
