I agree 100%. I come from a jewish family that my 8 great-grandparents came from eastern Europe in the very very early 1900’s. My mothers side through away their religion at Ellis Island and simply assimilated. my grandfather even anglicized his family name. There was NO G-d and NO faith and I mean none. Now there was Jewishness, minimal and watered down, but an absolute rejection of any “communal religion”.
Many of the 2nd & 3rd generation are obviously blind liberals. Wanna-be yenta elitists that have lost touch with reality. Their quality of character is quite horrifying in both thought and actions.
Judaism is nothing to them. At my “Ultra-Orthodox” wedding, my “mothers blood” family was virtually non-existent in participating—there was no simcha (joy) for them—they wouldn’t dance etc.... So far removed from their heritage and lost in a sea of blind liberalism.
