Well, I can only hope that I will be in the eighth grade - again. Just so you will know, I have no animus towards the military. I come from a long line of veterans of which several have paid the ultimate. I am a Viet vet and have seen the elephant myself. Just don't get too sanctimonious, bravery and stupidity are two different things. I have personally experienced brave young men do dumb, dumb, things for which they paid the price. Chuck Yeager had a saying that he frequently quoted “there are old pilots and bold pilots but there are no old bold pilots”. Peace....
Finally, we can begin talking like civilized people and stop hurling insults at one another. I also come from a long line of veterans and I have also seen many of my fellow brothers and sisters in arms do super dumb things. My whole point is that we don't cast aspersions on their character when they paythat ultimate price in service to their country, especially when neither of us knows the circumstances of their death.
People are people. Some are rocket scientists, others aren't and we both ran into all kinds when we were in the military.
