Here's a helpful tip if you ever plan to run for federal office: make sure to curry favor with journalists so that if you're ever charged with multiple ethics violations, those journalists won't ask you difficult questions. It works - just ask Charlie Rangel!

The New York congressman, chairman of the House panel in charge of the tax code, will likely be charged in a number of violations of the ethics code. Among the alleged violations is a charge that he extended a $500 million tax loophole to an oil executive in exchange for donations to the Charles B. Rangel Center for Public Service at City College of New York.

No matter, says New York Daily News columnist Errol Louis, who admitted to refraining from asking Rangel any tough questions in an interview. His reason: Rangel has "been a friend to my show and he's given us a lot of good inside information

If a journalist compromises his credibility just one time, he is forever after worthless as a source of information.

Kinda like CNN reporting favorably on Saddam Hussein because he wouldn’t let them be the only network to report from Iraq otherwise.

Journolists and liberals do it all the time. Remember when the feminists went easy on Clinton, even though they knew what he did was inappropriate and against women? Or, a friend of Gore's accuser, who told her not to make a big deal because it would harm the cause?

That's because they don't think there is a 'truth' that needs to be uphold.

This sorry excuse for a journalist should be asked how much of that “inside information” he received Rangel wasn’t legally-entitled to provide.

It’s all about self with “journalists” That’s why they slant the news, project their own faults and insecurities onto others, make up stories, splash divisive stories on the front pages, and of course, walk a fine line when it comes to criticizing their advertisers

He must have gone to the Ellsworth Toohey School of Journalism.

In fact it seems most of our journolisters are graduates.

Mark Simone, the normally sensible radio talk show personality on WABC 770 NYC is in the same category. He refuses to say anything negative about Rangel. Same thing with Andy Spano, recently defeated Democrat who for the last twelve years taxed and spent as Westchester County Executive.
