Maybe way off subject but I feared something like this when some schools started mandating SSL or student service learning (what my son calls socialist slave labor). 75 hours donated to service or you don’t graduate from high school. Maryland’s state schools actually require more if you plan on going to a state university so it is more like 400 ssl hours. If they force kids to “volunteer” than it is only a matter of time till everyone is “volunteering”. Just a thought

Ohhh don't get me started!...I was on a school board and have had many a battle with “forced volunteering”!!...... I asked the librarian who was strongly for it why there was no “True fiction” section in her library.........everyone laughed including her, but I said I was dead serious... She finally sputtered it was an oxymoron....I said “forced volunteerism”.....I rest my case your Honor
