“Just imagine what kind of resto you could do to an old classic car with $41k. You could put every conceivable luxury add-on in it.”
Or I could bolt on a twin-turbo setup with all the supporting mods on my 2008 Shelby GT500 and have a 1000hp ZR-1 killer.

That wouldn’t cost you anywhere near $41k would it? You could also put the best stereo system in, built-in GPS, ABS braking system, computer diagnostics for all mechanical functions and lots more. With a few $k left for gasoline I would think.

Just wait until about 2012/3 time frame and that $2.80/gal gasoline is going to be about $5-6/gal. Then we will see how happy you are to have a Shelby GT500. I hope you have a lot of money because you are really gonna need it.
