Smart, yes, but mistaken about Palin. No one is ever really “ready” to be president, but Sarah is a far sight closer than Obama or most of the other 2008 GOP contenders.
Reagan was more than ready. As was Washington, John Quincy Adams, Coolidge and a handful of others.
An old gal like Phyllis would have a negative view of Sarah or any other female THAT MUCH YOUNGER than she. Some of it is seniority disdain, and some of it is natural female cattiness! As my mentor used to say; “Everybody burns their toast occasionally!” Methinks Phyllis burned hers with that remark. After all, since when has Phyllis been able to walk on water?!
