At 85, Phyllis Schlafly has still got game.
The anti-feminist founder of the conservative Eagle Forum -- who counts Barry Goldwater's 1964 White House run and the 1982 death of the Equal Rights Amendment as exquisite victories and the "internationalist" presidencies of George Bush 41 and 43 as "not helpful to the Republican party" -- hasn't mellowed one whit.
That she made abundantly clear Thursday afternoon at the Conservative Political Action Committee conference in Washington.
Lord knows she still looks great, the poufy blonde hair perfectly lacquered, the fitted tweed jacket tricked out with her signature golden eagle brooch and tiny anti-abortion baby feet, her neck encircled by three stands of pearls and a chain from which dangled a cross of gold.

Man, pissant, Hunter was my man, but unless he drinks an elixir, he won’t do it.
Per your post, Palin gives great speeches, has good political insight in being able to pick the winners of elections, but you say that those aren’t leadership traits?
Giving poor speeches and having poor political insight is better for political leadership?
What you said doesn’t make sense.
OH-OH, time to trash Phyllis Schlafly now. Will anyone be left?
Barry did the same thing, . . . Oh . . . wait . . .
A strange conversation at best.
Your Falcon party may stay a membership of one........
“Since I dont think they should even be able to vote”
When they allowed women to vote my mother said that that was the stupidest thing they ever did!
She said that she already had a vote from the kitchen and the bedroom!
An elixir to give him Romney’s boyish looks and bank account?
For what it’s worth, you and your wife seem perfectly suited to one another in your blindsided bigotry, sexism and noxiousness.
But they should demonstrate the ability to be one.
No amnesty queens. Sorry.
God help her....
How much they pay you?
Phyllis Schlafly was at the top of her form thirty years ago when she spearheaded the derailment of the well-intended, stupid-consequenced ERA. Today is a different question. Sarah Palin would be a sight better than Obama, not to mention most of the nationally famous GOP men out there. Romney? or Palin? Do we even need to take a breath before the answer is obvious?
I don't know what disturbs me more, the fact you have an obsession with Duncan Hunter and are in denail, the fact you accuse others of 'hero worship' and fail to see it in yourself, or the fact that a fine conservative like Duncan Hunter has no idea of the whackness perpetrated by you.
Whimpering feminist, here . . . LOL. You said women should not have the right to vote. Why don't you just admit that you were on the sauce a little too heavily? That's what I would do.
That's patently false. Those who observed the rationale behind her decision knew why she did what she did. There is no gray area, it's as plain as the nose on your face. Her quitting had nothing to do with the media "being mean to her." She was targeted by operatives from the Obama regime and she refused to allow herself, her family, and state to be ruined.
To those of us who can think clearly, her abrupt departure from her elected position sniffs of weakness, at best, or the cupidity of preferring a book deal over her public trust, at worst.
If her quitting is a sign of weakness, then why is she at the top of hypothetical polls and matchups? After she quit, she should have crawled into a corner and wasted away, right? Why is she an in-demand speaker, a powerful endorser, and the de facto leader of the Tea Party movement? Face it, she brilliantly sidestepped the attacks on her and is fighting the war on her terms. You can repeat ad nauseaum that she quit but it's not having any effect other than in the echo chamber of those who despise her anyway.
meow MEOW meow MEOW cat fight.
We got a rumble going guys LOL
Good luck....
