The simple answer is: Yes. If you look at the way that legal immigration is conducted around the world, it is always based on a set of checks and balances. One of those checks is the prevention of certain communicable diseases.
Here is a list of things people applying for visa/residency status in this country may be tested for during their physical exam as required by the U.S. Department of Homeland Securitys Citizenship and Immigration Services.
* Tuberculosis * Syphilis (for applicants 15 years or older) * HIV (blood test) * Gonorrhea * Narcotic drug addiction * Physical or mental disorders with associated harmful behavior * Chancroid * Lymphogranuloma venerum * Granuloma inguinal

The average American has no idea about the true societal cost of illegal aliens from 3rd World countries, it is immeasurable.
There are areas near my house here in CA that will NEVER be safe, clean or prosperous again.
Democrats and some Republicans are so hungry for power and re-election they do not care about their citizenry.
the benefits of illegal immigration, (Dem voters, cheap labor) go to the wealthy;
while the costs accrue to the middle and lower classes -- higher taxes, new diseases, crowded and degraded schools, loss of jobs, loss of scholarships to illegals, loss of college placements to illegals due to diversity, higher crime, pollution, litter, crowded highways, increased costs for goods, etc.
The ones on whose back is the costs of this increased immigration is borne are not the ones who are able to benefit.
ya left out over crowded prisons where felons are let out early to house illegals, thus increasing the possibility of repeat offenders repeating quicker......

Denge Fever is hitting Florida. Most useless idiots have never been to the third world to see just how bad it really is.
In January of this year DHS removed HIV status as a factor to be considered in the granting of visas. People who are hiv-positive, or who have AIDS, are free to travel and to immigrate to our country now.
Everything you said is true. Our politicians are serving up a bowl of fruit punch with just a cup of sewage in it and saying it’s not that bad, and might even be nutritious.
Ping!
“People who are hiv-positive, or who have AIDS, are free to travel and to immigrate to our country now.”
The cure for AIDS is to make it illegal to treat it!
