When there is a difference (and there always is), vote the difference.
Turning offices over to democrats, not only loses that office, it also strengthens the entire structure of the democratic party and enhances their chances to win the leadership, and it makes the incumbent hard to get rid of.
Think of all the leftists like Boxer and Murray that squeak in, and then stay there for decades because of the power of incumbency.

There is no difference between a liberal with an (R) next to their name and a (D) next to their name, other than the speed at which they will send us down the road to socialism.
It's one of the things that has interested me in the Tea Party movement, since so many people in the movement have told me that it's not about any political party, it's about supporting conservatives. That's not always the case as this Tancredo thing is proving, but the majority of members I've met or know believe that if we don't start working towards getting conservatives elected now, we dang sure won't be able to in the future.
If we don't take a stand now and support only Conservatives, our grandchildren and their grandchildren will be cursing us. I've wasted too many years blindly supporting too many liberal Republicans, and I probably have 20-30 years left on this planet, and I'm not going to piss it away voting for liberals who pretend to be conservatives.
