YOu could have no corp tax and still won’t be able to compete with one dollar an hour workers.
And we still can’t compete with one-dollar-an-hour workers and never will. Only tariffs placed on all imports will reviver our economy.
Plan A US Navy institutes a close blockade on our own ports (its always more convenient when the targets come to you).
Plan B Enact Warren Buffett’s tariff plan

Either one will do the trick. :o)
Err, unless Marx moonlighted as an investment banker, its not the Marxists who’re outsourcing our factories and importing foreign workers.
>> Protectionist laws wont fix the problem
Exactly except for the pass you’re giving labor.
As Lenin said: “The capitalist will sell us the rope by which we hang him.”
If you listen to some people on here, if only we’d reduce x taxes we’d be fine. That’s just not the case. There’s more going on than government as the bad guy, we’ve been sold out entirely by both government and the private sector. Neither are ‘good guys’ in what’s happened since the mid 90’s that led to one bubble after another until biggest of all popped.
Now that they’ve trained up and sold off our manufacturing, IT, and even legal/medical at this point, there’s not a whole lot left for scraps.
The author doesn’t understand economics. This article is leftist witch-doctory.
All this is the consequence of 2 generations ofessentially the same Congressional and Executive leadership..they basically ran off or suppressed any meaningful impediment to their incremental accumulation of power. That’s all it is.
Any factory empowering a local middle-class enclave was shut down. Can’t have “nobodies” with their own money and ideas-they tend to argue with the mini-minds we’ve allowed to presumptively rule us.
We’re in a real mess, that’s all I know. I don’t see any silver bullets to help. I can’t say at this point that going more left or right can do anything. Either way, we’re pretty sunk for at least awhile.
Oh yes, freedom is bad, very very bad...I totally agree with you...NOT! What a stupid and ridiculous article...
The class envy here seems to trump conservative values. Sad - and so uninformed.
“The Middle Class is in this country is being systematically wiped out.”
The Middle Class is bullseye of the “Progressives” and Communist’s target. The next ring isthe family Then free enterprise business people. The next ring is white males. The next ring is Christians and Jews. Finally, they will throw their useful idiots under the bus.
Obama is just another link in a long chain of Marxist/pseudo-Marxist rulers.

Supid? in which way, with jobs being shipped overseas, what will blue collar workers being doing, service jobs? Those, like call centers, already left for warmer climes overseas.
Wake up.

Maybe you should ask yourself why all those wonderful jobs are going overseas...you may actually come to realize that it is an oppressive government in the US that is forcing our companies to leave. Something else you may want to consider is that just before the depression the US became very unfriendly to world trade as well...in fact it was called isolationism.
Free trade brings many many benefits to the world, it makes it more peaceful as the people of third world countries become prosperous enough to live well they will become like us and love their lives too much to sacrifice them for war.
You neglect to learn from history the rich strength of entrepreneur-ism in America. We return to being a free country and we will have prosperity again. We continue with the centrally planned economy and punishing the most productive and we will get less. It really is that simple, nothing more, nothing less.
