Whenever anyone mentions the 2012 election, inevitably the name of former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney becomes a topic of conversation. And when it comes to polling data, Romney is often seen as a front-runner, forecasted to be stronger than the current occupant of the Oval Office, Barack Obama.
Increasingly, many of those in the Republican Party think Mitt is the GOPs go-to guy in the next election.
I guess youll just have to pardon me for failing to drink the Kool-Aid regarding the former governor. I just think its about time somebody stated the truth about Gov. Romney.
Mitt Romney is the wrong guy, at the wrong time, carrying the wrong message for America!

Put Romney on the same wagon Newt is going to ride out of Washington on.
Romney got 4.5 million votes in 2008. Huckabee got 4.1 million votes. McCain got 9.6 million votes. In 2012, where do you think Establishment McCain’s 9.6 million votes are going? Huckabee? Palin? Nope. Those are Romney or Gingrich votes...we can’t be in denial of that...magritte
No one. Except those who attack handicapped children.

He is like a fungus. He just wont go away.
I trust Al Sharpton more.
And look who Heritage is teaming up with
Heritage too, lordie. No amount of cut&paste crap is going to change the fact that Romney is the front runner at this point...although he has dismissed it, Chris Christie would be an excellent alternative that would change that...can’t think of another one at this point...magritte
Mitt RomneyCARE (D, Shapeshifter): "I'm not running as the Republican view or a continuation of Republican values.
That's not what brings me to the race.

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldnt make any sense at all.""

Romney (Carpetbagger shapeshifter, D, RINO): I'm very clear I think, to the people across the Commonwealth
my "R" didn't stand so much for Republican as it does for reform."

"A political party cannot be all things to all people.
It must represent certain fundamental beliefs
which must not be compromised to political expediency
or simply to swell its numbers."
-- President Ronald Reagan
Chris Christie would be an excellent alternative that would change thatNot after his "pathway to citizenship" comment today.
...cant think of another one at this point...magritteWell gee, I guess if you can't think of one, there must not be one.
Good night Mitt.
Maybe (ruminating here) it's just the old Republican "it's Mitt's turn" mentality at work. They've got all these prexy candidates lined up like airliners on a taxiway, and they ignore the flames and columns of black smoke off the end of the runway and just wave the next one forward. "It's Rudy's turn, it's Mitt's turn, it's McCain's turn, it's Lamar Alexander's turn ......" Burn, crash, burn, crash ...... ad nauseam.
It isn't that you lost the race. At least you showed up with a yacht.
This is a scam for Romney. It has zero to do with the Heritage Foundation. Leave it to Romney to start another scam.
Oh, really? Why not? How many people held their noses against the stink and voted for McPain, who'd much rather have voted for Hunter or Thompson or someone else more conservative than "Maverick" Kennedy-Pal RiNO McPain?
How many of McPain's votes showed up only because Palin was on the ticket?
How many more of the conservatives who've been documented as having stayed home on Election Day 2008, would have turned out for a real conservative?
Prove your case. "Nope!" doesn't get it.
RomneyCare = barryCare
Don’t forget how homosexuality advanced under his watch.
I don't accept that as a real figure.
For instance I am one of those 9.6 million McCain primary votes, even though I despise the man, and did so then. I caste my primary vote in Texas, which held it's primary after McCain had already mathematically won the constest. I didn't want to weaken Obama's opponent, even if it was McStain.
I would NEVER, NEVER vote for McCain, or a McCain-like RINO such as Romeny, if there were any other viable conservative choice.
Why?
Read this and it will not puzzle you again.
Democrat elected officials strive to please their voters, Republican elected officials strive to deceive their voters.
Elected officials of both parties share a generally negative opinion of, well, us. Democrats can brag about it, Republicans have to hide it.
Elected officials are, for the most part, either members of, or striving to be members of, the ruling class.
This has created a funny situation - in order to be nominated, Republican candidates have to conceal who they are and what they believe.
You got one?
