I wonder why NBC thinks anyone would be interested in the economic fantasies of tax cheat Tim Geithner?

Remember that he also managed to buy his Larchmont, NY house in a bidding war around the real estate market peak.

"The Geithners paid a premium for the house when they bought it in 2004, plunking down $1.601 million after a bidding war. "

But to answer your question -- NBC is interested because he may be an economic ignoramus, but he is well spoken, can tie a half-Windsor knot and has impeccable academic credentials.

Timmy tried to sell his house to no avail so he’s renting it out.

BTW, Zillow estimates Geithner's house is now worth $1,175,000 with a Value Range of $881K – $1.42M

Down 26% in six years. Not a wise investment.

This is the best Zero can do for a Treasury Secretary?
