Georgia's Sanford Bishop (D) uses tax payer funds to slam candidate
Thomasville Times Enterprise ^ | July 22, 2010 | Mike Keown

....After wasting the taxpayers’ money on bailouts and a stimulus bill that put $400,000 of debt on every man, woman and child in this country, Bishop had a staffer who is being paid with taxpayer money send out a misguided political attack via his official Web site that is also being funded by taxpayers. It is not only unlawful, but it is a fundamental misuse of tax dollars.

The condescending nature of Bishop’s attack, saying that I have “bitten off more than I can chew,” leads me to believe that he does not think a regular tax-paying citizen is capable of being a congressman and proves he has no clue what a Baptist pastor deals with every day! For 24 years, I have been a public servant. For the last six, I have been a conservative voice in the Georgia House of Representatives. I voted for a balanced budget every year and never raised taxes to do it....

You would think the Bishop team would understand appropriate use of tax dollars......NOT. And why not? He's been in office an eon.

It's always ok when the Dems do this stuff the first time (jk'ing of course).

BTW...Mike won the primary (Georgia's Second Congressional District seat) with like 80% of the vote.

Here is the link to send a complaint - probably won’t do any good. Rangle is still there.

Not OK. Dems have gotten into doo-doo before for this. If he directed a congressional employee to use his congressional website to carry out a partisan political attack, he has violated House rules and someone should make a formal complaint to the House Rules Committee. Meanwhile the Keown guy can make political hay with it.

The minute Barack Obama was sworn in last year, the White House website featured a political attack on President Bush (over Katrina).

Democrats are allowed to do this sort of thing.

So what? He’s a Democrat. Rules and laws don’t apply.
