The Tea Party scheduled for this Sunday afternoon July 25, on the historic Lexington Battle Green has been canceled.
It's the only time in America, to our knowledge, that a Tea Party has been shut down by Republican activists.
The organizers were forced to cancel the event by "Republicans" sympathetic to the homosexual movement and hostile to the parents' rights movement that exposes the taxpayer-supported homosexual agenda in the schools. The main speakers, prodded by a socially liberal Tea Party (and Republican) activist, announced that because Brian Camenker of MassResistance was also speaking, they would not participate.
The cancellation was first reported in the local newspaper, the Lexington Minuteman. Eric Dahlberg, a left-wing Republican candidate for State Senate, told the newspaper "Some consider MassResistance a hate group, I don't want to be within a mile of an event that gives someone like that [Camenker] a stage."

I am not against the tea parties. But when everyone is the leader, then no one is.
An attorney or a dj or a reporter or a cop or whoever could assume anyone is in charge, and that that person they pick out of the crowd speaks for them all.
That’s the danger inherent in not having any leadership structure.
Under most circumstances, it’d be fine with me, but sometimes you get a nut and sometimes you get an infiltrator.
Homosexual issues just shouldn't be at the top of anyone's list.

Brian Camenker of MassResistance represents what the overwhelming majority of Americans valued only a few short years ago. That he would be characterized as representative of a “hate group” shows what a radical leftist this so-called “conservative” is.
The lib agenda is a unified whole. The entire tree is corrupt; why would you consume one branch?
True but that's the way it ought to be. While the NAACP was attempting to build their lie 10 days ago, there was a synchronized attempt on left-wing radio (mostly Sirius Left) to link Armey's (who I can't stand) FreedomWorks to outright control of the Tea Party. It didn't stick -- in fact it barely rose above the sub rosa -- precisely because Tea Party power is decentralized.
Now I see the LA Times is focused on smearing the Tea Party Express today -- again, it's not the Tea Party, because the Tea Party is a set of ideas. And as far as I'm concerned The Tea Party is was and always will be entirely Santelli's baby -- he's the Godfather of this Movement and hasn't disappointed me yet.
Yep. It sounds to me like this “event” was set up so they could make as big a splash as possible by cancelling it. If not, mistake #1 was to load the speaker’s roster with fudgepackers. Mistake #2 was to cancel the event when said fudgepackers refused to speak if differing opinions were offered. Even in homo friendly Massachussetts, straight people are a majority.

MA’s answer to a Republican candidate is just such a RINO, he supports all of this nonsense, has a homosexual running mate, and in fact is not a Republican at all. This state is pathetic! And I cannot wait for the day I wave it good riddance.

The Republican Party and Tea Parties need leftist homo-nazi promoting "Republicans" in the same way we need more cancer and syphilis. Leftists, liberals, liberaltarians and RINOs are just a continuum of the same evil disease. NO RINOs and NO liberaltarians. Both promote immorality and an overweening government. Liberaltarians play pretend that they don't, but anarchy and chaos and barbarians running amok (which is would liberaltarianism would devolved to in short order) would then devolve into tyranny, next step. No doubt about it.
And anyone saying that our country's sole problem is too big government and too high taxes either is seriously uninformed or is wearing moral blinders.

Conservatives fail to understand that morality must come from within the society itself. It can not be imposed by law.
What this nation needs is massive Judeo Christian revival. Do that and we will need far less government.

Believe it Jo. The two factions (the Libertarian Party and the Conservative values crowd) were eventually bound to clash. I saw it from afar when I read that the Tea Party Movement concept was started by the IL Libertarian Party.
trisham, I just don’t know yet. I’m am stuck on “does it even matter”. I may have to vote cahill who is not even close to what I would want in that office. Heck of a position our state GOP put us in isn’t it?
