I demand that you apologize....Then it doesn't matter to you whether my apology is sincere? That's how I used to answer when my mother would tell me to apologize for hitting my brother. It was always followed by: "God help you child!" and then a swift slap across my face." Never did figure out God's connection to her violent action. Maybe I'm just not smart enough.
