In my estimation, these comments are even more important than the part of the tape in qustion. So if she was trying to indicate she got over her racism, what do these things say? The ocmment about Health care, Obama and racism is later on in the same speech. This makes it clear she HASN’T changed. And the comment about trying to go back to the time of slavery is just totally insane. I think she may be misguided, but every time she tries to explain herself she digs herself into a bigger hole.
I fully agree with that. The part in question was prefaced in a way that everyone there knew she was speaking in the past tense with regret. Their expressions were not in agreement with her bias but with her repentant sentiments IMO.
But her other comments, such as the ones I posted, reveal that her repentance is as phony as a three dollar bill. I don't feel the need to make the one thing something it is not in order to make the point that she has a racist victimhood mentality when she has said things in other parts of the speech and since then that make the point on their own.
