To be fair, he’s grown up in a culture where all that ails black people is directly attributed to slavery or other white malfeasance; he is a product of his environment. In the circle he always lived in, individual failure/responsibility was not in the vernacular.

He didn't grow up in a black culture, he was raised by white communist and spent a few years in Indonesia. He MARRIED into black culture, he learned all the race cr*p in Chicago from MO.
