Orlando -- Congressman Alan Grayson told News 13 he was the victim of a death threat Wednesday.
The threat comes one day after a conservative leader of the Virginia-based Media Research Center posted a message on Twitter offering a cash reward to anyone who punched Grayson in the nose.
According to Grayson, his intern picked up the phone yesterday and was told 10 people are going to kill the Congressman within 24 hours.
The Congressman says Capitol Police are investigating.
This has been a tough week for the freshman representative, this after Dan Gainor posted on his Twitter page that he would offer $100 to anyone that would punch him in the nose. Gainor later tweeted that it was just a joke, but would like to see the video.

He’s nutty alright. And look what he’s up to now:
Here’s the email I got just a little while ago:
We are seeing evidence that Grayson has a large paid field army out collecting democrat absentee ballot requests. He has probably already found most of the possible dem voters out there with his 2008 mercenary army, but he has figured out that if he can get already-registered guby no show dems to request absentee ballots by pestering them door to door, then they will actually vote. He is right, and this is smart.
AND WE CANNOT COMPETE WITH THIS. No volunteer effort can match $10/hour x 50,000 hours. Not only will this significantly improve his own chances in his race, but it will harm republicans up and down ballot. There is NO WAY we can match this effort with volunteers. I know the state party can’t afford to match this effort dollar for dollar, especially not just in a single congressional district, but perhaps you can impress upon the national resources of the NRCC and others that we have to fight fire with fire and have to start NOW. We in Orange County already have a program and a structure to target our 54,000 republican guby no shows, but volunteers will not get them all and the REC can’t afford to pay an army.
If we do not fight back immediately and match the Grayson effort tit for tat, the dems will duplicate this everywhere, and it is a war we can’t win if we are outspent. Consequently, I am also urging you to consider some sort of pilot program. Take 5% or 10% of the Guby no-shows in Orange and throw a paid ground army at them to see how much it would cost and how effective it would be. We already have a template approach and paid staff to manage the effort and a place to do it from.
I know we can’t pay per registration for either voter registrations or for absentee ballots COLLECTED, but is there any legal restrictions on paying people PER FORM to obtain a absentee ballot request forms? Any other out of the box thinking?

I'm thinking I might have a chance at the cash reward here in Volusia County by simply stepping out of my front door and swinging my fist.
IMHO, I have more of a chance at hitting that huge nose of his without leaving my yard than I do at winning Saturday's FLA Lotto.
I'm gonna walk outside for a minute.....
well there is alot more hispanics for one....and the whole area just seems to be going down the tubes.....
Is that the face of a sleazy trial lawyer, or what?
"You're a freaking idiot! You must be the biggest moron on the planet you Jack Wagon!!! What kind of a jerk would tell me to share my toys with every stinking kid on the block? I hope you slip and hit your head in the bathtub again!!!"
What kind of security do the dirtbags in congress have? Do they depend on their buddies in the mob?
“...and was told 10 people are going to kill the Congressman within 24 hours”
One at a time?
Personally, I think killing him 5 times is plenty enough.
I don’t know...killing someone more then once seems excessive to me.
10 people are going to kill the Congressman within 24 hours,
boy are they going to get a lot of free beer.
