I’ve never tried one, seems like you’d want to practice on a simulator first.
A simulator is a good idea, but they are really not that hard to fly. If you have an RC club nearby, there are usually great pilots out there who are eager to train a newbie. It IS really fun, btw. Have to get mine back in the air.
