There's a good chance that more damage has been caused by the "Dead Zone" from upstream over-fertilization than the BP oil spill.
Guess which side of this photo is the Dead Zone.
Also, they seem to forget the huge government subsidy that made all these imaginary profits possible.
Hubel, you sticking with your claim that ethanol saves consumers $150 billion a year?
If your local ethanol-free station is not listed, you can add it yourself.

Indeed. Substitute “cocaine” or “hookers” for “ethanol” to see that benefits of a product’s economic contribution is independent of the qualities of the product itself.
The latest in Minnesota is a push for ethanol gasoline blends of 15%. I wonder if the State of Minnesota is going to compensate all those drivers whose vehicles, boat motors and snowmobiles are damaged by this blend or for warranties that are no longer valid as a result of using 15% ethanol?
Ethanol also MURDERED the engine on my boat. It feeds Billion$ into Minne$ota making that crap, and then feeds Billion$ into repair places hired to fix the damage.
Brilliant.
Not new... but within the past 6 years... and all that are older. It rots fuel systems and creates water in fuel and rusts internal parts.

**Ethanol also MURDERED the engine on my boat.**
Yep. Sure does.
We do, too, but it may be disappearing. The government is making it more and more difficult for stations to continue to sell real gas. Two of the 3 stations in our area that had been offering real gas stopped selling it.
Resistance is futile! We will control you! We did it with those crappy (pun intended) low flush toilets, and we will do it again!
I am in the business... it is destructive to the tenth power.

I bought some lawn mower parts at a local shop and some guy was asking about using the mid grade for a new weed whacker and the owner of the parts / repair shop said “Yes, use mid or even the high grade”.

It's the Obamacare, stupid!
One-half gallon of oil in the form of pesticides per bushel of corn would cost $2 to $3 per bushel. If this were true -- and it clearly isn't -- it should be enough to illustrate to literally anyone that the price of petroleum is quite literally the ONLY thing driving corn prices. And this idiotic piece of agitprop -- from a hydrogen "energy" advocacy site -- also shows the guy in the encounter suit spraying chemical fertilizer, a sight that I've never been privileged to see, what with me *growing up on a farm*.
