This "equality" is so much B.S.
Women in the workforce became a necessity due to the rising costs of goods (due to government tax law and regulation), AND due to income taxes, etc. sky-rocketing, where the bread-winner and the nuclear family were targeted for extinction.
Today, we have the "single mother" politically-correct jargon for most of whom used to be known as tramps, sluts, un-wed mothers, etc. (Yes, I understand they always use the argument that "widows" and "divorcee's" are "single mothers", too, but the BULK of the single mothers today are just un-wed mothers, leaning on others to pay for their lifestyle choices and the "fathers" are either un-named, or unknown (due to numerous partners).
Lumping all mothers without husbands into the "single mother" category is just another attempt by the left to diminish the value of the traditional two-parent home. It's too bad that we allow the left to control language. We should use the three different descriptions.

There are two other major factors, rising taxes, AND the DEVALUATION of the US dollar by the FED.
The dollar depreciates, CONgress can’t stop spending, and taxes are a ponzi scheme depending on credit(debt) expansion and mild inflation to pay for all of the “entitlements” that the libs love.
They will NEVER be able to tax enough to pay for it all.
As to the other points, you are right. This is nothing more the encouraging MORE females and children to replace MEN as a source of guidance and security.
