Shirley Sherrod said she'd like President Barack Obama to reach out to her, not for an apology but for a conversation about what life is like where "the rubber meets the road." "He hasn’t lived the kind of life I've lived," she said on CNN's morning show. "I know he's African-American or part African-American, and many of us are not totally black in our genes. I'm one of them. But when you get down to where the rubber meets the road, I think he needs to understand a little more of what life is like at that level."

Sounds like Shirley is questioning how black Mr. Skittles really is. This has always been his weakness with the “civil rights” crowd. It is why he lives in fear of them. Nobody likes to be called “red bone” or “high yeller” when they be laying down their street cred. Dat be disrepecting a bro.
I think if she REALLY was not racist, she could have taken a “high road” out of this whole thing and not kept referring to race as an issue. “People of color” or whatever. Could have just said it was unfortunate that the remarks were taken out of context and that she hopes people have a better understanding now. PERIOD END OF COMMENTS...
Same as when Michael Steele was asked some question about being black, same as 0bama, and he went off on the victim tangent - his answer SHOULD HAVE BEEN something to the effect of he’s trying to do a good job for the GOP and to ELIMINATE race as an issue in the conversations... but no, had to be the victim.

Tell one thing if I was fortunate enough to lead this nation I would not imbibe during my tenure. I could not betray the faith of the American people by being tipsy, drunk, or hung-over for even one second. It was a terrible mistake to elect this guy, but to think of him loaded while on duty is reprehensible!
