I owned my first shotgun when I was 10. That was a couple of years behind some of my buds.

A friend took his 8 year old Grandson with his son and myself shooting on his ranch.
Safety was stressed as it should be and the child shot every gun we had brought.
He did great including shooting my 20 gauge pump shotgun.
It made me feel hope for the younger Americans.
