O'Donnell eyes brand-name support
POLITICO ^ | 7/21/2010 | DAVID CATANESE

...As O’Donnell criticizes Castle for supporting the bank bailouts, cap and trade and abortion rights, she appears to have caught DeMint’s attention. The two met recently and a spokesman for the senator’s political action committee said DeMint was “extremely impressed.”

“She’s a principled conservative who has been overlooked by the Washington establishment. The senator has not made an endorsement in this race but he's watching it closely to see if O'Donnell can get within striking distance,” Matt Hoskins said.

Alluding to a recent Rasmussen survey showing O’Donnell leading in a general election and Castle’s advantage over Democrat Chris Coons narrowing, Hoskins added: “The ground is beginning to shift in Delaware. … Castle is slipping in the polls as O’Donnell begins to surge. She's already leading the Democrat in a head-to-head match-up and she's still got room to grow. O'Donnell is the underdog in the primary for sure, but there’s still two months to go and anything could happen.”...

Wow, just wow!

So Demint is practicing the same form of practicality that Sarah did with Fiorina!

Who is the most likely to win!?

So what's a Demint worshipper to do now? <\DO I HAVE TO SAY IT?>

I’m on board as a campaign volunteer. The last campaigns I worked on were for President Reagan. I hope that this one turns out that well.

PS. I haven’t worked on a campaign since RR is beacause no one has been capable of carrying his jock strap.

I like Sen. Jim DeMint, but what does this have to do with anything? HUH? HUH? HUH? Sarah had the balls to endorse Jim Miller when he was down 20 points in the polls. Come on Sen. DeMint; you are better than that.

I hear you NO DEM! But this is what I think. Castle is bigger than Murkowski. He is a forty year incumbent. Castle bought an endorsement from NJ Gov. Chris Christie! Don't be drinking anything in front of your computer screen when you watch the YouTube endorsement. This O'Donnell campaign has radicalized me. I may be officially wearing a tin foil hat now, but I'm waiting for some future GOP POTUS to pay off that debt with a cabinet post for Christie.

Anyway, it looks like neither DeMint nor Palin have got the balls to cross Castle. But the funny thing is, I think she may win on 9/14. It is still a closed primary. Her supporters are so pissed now that they (we) are obsessed with kicking Castle's ass out the door. And this is coming from a guy who has voted for Castle for as long as I have been in DE. Since 1976 I have never once voted for anyone but a Republican. However, If Castle buys this primary, I am voting for the Democrat in November. I would rather an evil puppet than an evil puppet-master!

The up side to this is that Senator O'Donnell will owe nothing to any politician including Palin & DeMint.
