I was at Sandestin from Friday to yesterday and it was beautiful. Wonderful.
That is fantastic news! I had gone down to Navarre Beach on July 4. They had just completed the new pier there, which extends some half a mile out into the gulf. There were people in the water, surf was up. The water was greener and less transparent than normal due to an algal bloom.
With the news of the gusher being closed, I finally feel like there is hope for the region to recover from this. At this point, I just hope that there is some way to clean the Louisiana marshlands, because they did sustain severe damage.
