WASHINGTON (AP) -- Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack says he has apologized to ousted employee Shirley Sherrod and offered her a unique new position at the agency.
Sherrod, in an interview with The Associated Press, says she is considering the offer.

Did Obama really want someone else for the position and that's why this has all played out? Another Chicago crony in need of an influential job?
We all knew it.
Or she may have set herself up (had a friend send Breitbart the partial—and damning—video) so she could lay the groundwork for another lawsuit.
OK, so maybe the woman was railroaded in this particular instance. However, it’s also obvious she is a drooling liberal (I’ve heard enough of her quotes by now).
Guess what I’m saying is I’m sick of watching people kiss her ample arse over this like she’s some sort of saint. Disgusting.
She claims to have had an epiphany, but the fact it she admits to having wronged a white farmer 25 years ago. Therefore her firing came 25 years too late.
And she’s still a racist, no matter how many apologies she gets.

Thanks for that link. A search yesterday yielded some info but not that article. There appears to be quite an age difference between the Sherrod spouses, assuming he is the Charles Sherrod of SNCC fame. Another fine example of following the money...
