If you listen to the whole tape Sherrod repeatedly talks about how much federal money is available and that the black community needs to get some of it. She’s right about that … as long as it’s being passed out like candy why shouldn’t blacks get some ... but where is it challened that all this money should be passed out like candy to ANYBODY?

And in the tape she also encourages young black people to get on the fed-gov-job gravy train. (Again, nothing wrong with advocating blacks get some of the jobs, but where is it questioned that we need so many fed-gov-jobs?)

She also makes disparaging remarks about Republicans protesting the health care bill, implying their motivation for doing so are racist.

If you listen to the whole tape, she is vindicated on the ‘black farmer’ story but there is a lot there to go after in terms of promoting the entitlement attitude ... not just to blacks, but in general ... that the FedGov should be spending boatloads of money on all these programs at all.

In the tape, she promoted the idea of communities chasing after fed-gov money for this that and the other. The fact that she advocated that blacks get some of it is an entirely secondary point.

Bottom line: she’s an advocate for a HUMONGOUS federal government ... no suprise that a fed-gov employee of any color would support that. After all, it justifies their jobs.

She seems to have no tolerance for people who feel the fed-gov should be smaller.

That’s ideological bigotry.

For the last 50 yars I have viewed government jobs as the "other welfare."
I know it. She knows it. And now it is slowly dawning on the working taxpaying American citizen.

Has anyone ever determined how many trillions$ have been spent on welfare since the War on Poverty?"

What happened? Did the crackers get it all? The Federal "employees?" What? The more we spend "solving" poverty, the bigger the pool of victims gets.
