Just over a year ago, in July 2009, this column predicted in an article entitled "2010" that a political earthquake was coming this year that would shake Washington to its foundations.
In October 2009, I argued that the real danger facing Republicans was that they would underestimate their strength this year, and not win all the seats they could win by failing to recognize soon enough just how vulnerable even established Democrats would be.
At the time this was laughed off as wild-eyed, unhinged, bluff and bluster. Today, one year later, it is actually conventional wisdom. The political earthquake is here. We hear the tremors even from the White House Press Secretary.
Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi
When San Francisco Democrat Nancy Pelosi became Speaker of the House, the federal deficit for the year was $161 billion. Since then federal spending has soared by 36%, more than one third, and the federal deficit is now $1.6 trillion. As Rep. Jeb Hensarling rightly said, "The annual deficits under the Republicans became the monthly deficits under the Democrats."
Under CBO projections, by 2012, the national debt will have more than doubled since Nancy Pelosi became Speaker, to $11.5 trillion. By 2020, it will have quadrupled, to over $20 trillion.

We desperately need a new Congress with the balls to impeach Obama and try him for treason.
I am not convinced after Listening to The Rep From Long Island who said pretty much all Reps are on their own to make their case on Local issues not National Ones.
If EVER there was a Time for EVERY Republican to be standing together as One and Letting the American People Know they are going to stop this Bullet Train to the Head of the Country IT IS NOW! If this is their Strategy to have every Man for themselves this is insanity and the Republicans are even more Cowardly and Incompetent as I thoughtand the Country is FINISHED. You Can Run Like that and even if you get elected you have No mandate to do anything if you didnt say anything!
The smart GOPers would do both. Have a set of national messages along with pushing the local. Other than money to do so, one shouldn’t have to exclusively choose from either strategery.
Personally I am looking & hoping for the Mussolini result here.
Obama is merely the figurehead for an ideology that has been working dilegently to destroy America for more then 100 years. If Obama is impeached then another figurehead will be put forward. We need to fight the ideology behind Obama.
The black panther incident at the polling place is the smoking gun we need to destroy king obuma and the rat party.
Some vast and unknown number of Americans don’t know about this incident or obuma’s racist call not to prosecute because they’re black. The propaganda press is covering it up because it knows this incident will destroy the king obuma administration.
If nothing else, Americans insist on fair play for everyone. This is a blatant example of using racism to favor one group, and a racist group at that.
The public doesn’t care about the deficit. The public cares that there are no jobs for Americans born here.
Never been an “either, or” fan. How about we do both. We can walk and chew gum at the same time.
It doesn’t benefit us to make it a personal battle. We need to attack the foundations of the “progressives” not take big swings at the pinata they dangle in front of us.
Im going to vote for her because I believe this last election has consequences, Graham said of Kagan, adding that her positions are in the mainstream and saying it was not a difficult decision.

Obozo can’t spend a dime.
He can propose to but it is Congress that has spent us in to this hole.
Wasn’t a personal attack. I am just very careful to not get caught in either, or traps. It seems it is often used as a device to eliminate or limit action.
bttt
I didn’t say anything about a personal attack. What I was saying is that we shouldn’t focus our fire on a figure head but the crowd behind him. It’s Obamaâs job to attract the ire of the public so they don’t see progressives as the real threat.
In that case the Mark Critz race in Pennsylvania is not very encouraging. A local appeal to keep bringing home the Murtha pork trumped a long list of egregious Democrat offenses in the minds of the voters.
