AMSTERDAM—The Netherlands lurched deeper into political limbo Tuesday after renewed efforts to form a coalition government broke down amid disagreements about the scope and speed of economic overhauls.

[snip]

The center-right Liberals were negotiating with a center-left trio of the Labor Party and the smaller Democratic Liberals and Green Party.

The "moderates" were trying to see if they could form a coalition with the Left-wing Labor party. The right-of-center parties gained a majority of seats after the election, but the Christian Democrats (Holland's RINOs) refused to be part of any coalition that included Geert Wilder's anti-Islamic group, thus dooming any attempt to form a conservative government.

I think I predicted this awhile back. They’ll try to do the same thing as they did in the UK with an alliance with the left to keep out Geert.

That’s what they just tried to do, with the center-right trying to ally with Labor and the left. It failed. Neither side is able to make the needed concessions to come together. The seats just aren’t there without Wilders and the other rightist party.

Happened in Belgium too several years ago when they laid a “cordon sanitaire” around the right wing Vlaamse Blok party.

That is the left for you. They don’t like your opinion, so they are totally okay with disenfranchising millions of voters.

Actually what stinks is not the solid right, but anything left wing. The stench coming from that side is unbelievable and unbearable.

Heck it happened here too, but differently: the left wing journalists just decided that we should collectively be governed by a hard left wing maniac so they manipulated facts and lied about them or hid them. And they are still not done. These people amount to nothing less than traitors.

Things just got more interesting.

The group which sabotaged putting together a conservative coalition government, the Christian Democrats, because they refused to be part of any coalition that included anti-Islamic Geert Wilders?

It seems the Dutch Christian Democrats put $1.2 million towards the NYC Ground Zero Mosque: Geert Wilders Demands Explanation From House of Parliament Why Dutch Government is Funding Ground Zero Mega Mosque

Oh, I got that wrong. Interesting.

New election time then, and another shot for Geert.

‘That is the left for you. They don’t like your opinion, so they are totally okay with disenfranchising millions of voters.”

They tried to impose Euro style governance up here. It very nearly passed, needed 60 percent to change the election laws, and they had 58.

The second time round it got hammered, 30 for, 70 against.

The reason for the shift? They had a disastrous show trying to explain how to vote. No one could understand it so the argument of the folks against it was, if we can’t understand the franchise, why does your vote mean anything?

Effective. Now ‘electoral reform’ is dead in the water. Obama will be pushing for whatever he can get away.

What! So the Saudis own the Christian Democrats!

One thing clear here folks - every mosque built in the west in paid for by the Saudis through the Muslim Brotherhood. The Saudis buy politcians and it looks like they own the Dutch “christian” Democrats.

Wonder if Dutch intelligence got that info for Geert. The man is a hero and patroit.

Sadly America is filled with idiots who watch TV and in doing so support the muslim the saudis put in the white hut. I wonder why Fox/Saudia is so anti-Geert?

New election time then, and another shot for Geert.

Geert's popularity is increasing. Latest polls show that Geert's party, which won 24 seats in the June election, would win 35 if the election were held now.

The shift comes at the expense of the conservative VVD party. Conservative voters were upset over VVD talking to lefty parties about forming a coalition, probably correctly assuming that all the "compromising" would be one-way.

The Saudis understand the facts of life. Politicians can be bought cheaply. You could buy control of Congress for less money than the cost of an F15 squadron.

Expanding on what I just said, it looks like the massive Muslim immigration into Europe may have been greased by the Saudis desire to export unskilled Muslims into Europe, both to reduce pressures at home, and to eventually take over Europe before the Middle East’s oil runs out.

The problem with the Dutch system, is that coalitions can always get around Geert, because he’s not going to get 50 percent of the seats. Probably the only way it would happen is if Geert is the senior partner.

The Dutch Parliament has 150 seats. You need 75 or more seats in your coalition to govern. Geert has 24, with polls showing he would get 35 if the elections were redone today.

On the basis of the June elections, they are able to ignore Geert. If they are unable to form a government and elections must be redone, then Geert would be the driver's seat. In a new election, the Christian Democrats would be in trouble, because the people would see them as unwilling to join any coalition. CD voters would then have to pick another party for their vote to be meaningful, either go Labor or go Geert.

Indeed, just like the UK, Holland is rolling over and spreading her legs for the mooj to rape and pillage at will.

Needing 75, with 34 for Geert, still not nearly enough.

Most VVD voters wanted a coalition with Wilders (PVV), and now are disappointed. Many would have voted Wilders if they knew that Rutte preferred labour and greens.

We’re stuck in a messy situation indeed. I have my doubts about Wilders’ candidate-MPs. Wilders himself admitted as much as that he had a very hard time to find people even remotely capable for the field of politics on any high level.

Personally I think that Geert would act wisely in putting no pressure anwhere. Time is on his side, and firmly so. Whilst the others are struggling to create an image of real coalition building, the PVV is gaining much extra popularity, silently, in the background.

Speaking tactically, I’d say that he’d best accept the role of the only serious opposition leader for the next one or two years. A new coalition without him will implode for sure, long before its real end-of-term. And then: in steps mr. Wilders, fortified, ready, and able.

I tend to agree with you. Let the Establishment screw things up some more, so they can thoroughly get the blame.

Wilders' best bet is to closely study Sarah Palin's successful moves. He needs to first build an alternate way of communicating with the people that bypasses the Dutch MSM filters. He needs to directly get his message across via the blogosphere, Facebook, YouTube, etc.

The real issue, and his real opposition, is the Dutch Establishment. It has two faces, the Christian Democrats and Labor, with the faces being swapped when the people get tired of one or the other. He needs to hammer the point that Labor and CD are Tweedledee and Tweedledum, and that a vote for CD is effectively a vote for Labor, because CD won't partner with the Right.

See my #18. Rutte walked into a trap set by the Establishment (CD and Labor). His willingness to compromise his party's core to get a coalition only alienated his core without getting a coalition.

Well written! I am glad that you explained it this way. American Freepers will now have some insight into what is going on, and what is at stake in Holland.
