The Sioux might be able to pull this off, but not the Mexicans. With the exception of some areas on the Yucatan peninsula they are almost entirely mixed racial.

What bugs me is that these people assume that everyone from the Yukon to the tip of Argentina were one big happy family until Colombus landed. They were not — there were racial, tribal and linguistic differences. I doubt the Mayans would have seen primitive nomadic peoples of the Great Plains as their brothers. Yet these Mexicans see the US as theirs? Okay, maybe Cherokee or Lakota could make a case, but not these people from central America. And while I am white (phenotype) my genotype probably has as much Cherokee DNA as these Mexicans have of Incan DNA.
