But if the rest of the story is true, then it happened 24 years ago, and she learned to get past her own prejudice. That's something to applaud, not condemn. And it's irresponsible to not mention it.
If, if, if .... if the moon were made of green cheese .... She’ll have to prove that by actions, not by words; it’s too late for that, Democrats/liberals have forfeited the right to be taken at their word. She’s a hardcore racist until and unless she can show by her actions that she’s otherwise.
I read the entire article and agree that the salient point that was left out was the way she overcame her prejudice and ended up working with the guy for 2 years to help him out of his trouble, and that she ended up being friends with the farmer and his wife.
Having said that...
The left has established the insane rules regarding accusations of racism...and the liberals chickens...are com'n home...to roost.
Trent Lott publicly humiliated himself for a week trying to explain to the BET audience how some of his best friends were black, and all the great civil rights legislation he helped pass, and all the black constituents he had helped...none of it mattered.
In particular, if you are a southern white male, the accusation is all that is needed for the conviction.
The continuing success of the Democratic Party is based solely on convincing minorities that the evil Europeans are the source of their misery.
So while I do have some compassion for this woman who seemed to be sharing a genuine story of a triumphant struggle over her own racism, ultimately I see her as a victim of the policies her own party established.
Many good and decent people's careers have been destroyed because someone arbitrarily decided they were racist.
The blame is on the race pimps in the Democratic Party.
